Integration students have been identified as having a specific disability and are eligible for funding.
This Program provides support to students in the following areas:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Severe Language Disorder
- Intellectual Disability
- Severe Behaviour Disorder
- Physical Disability
- Hearing/Vision Impaired
Once the level of funding is determined, an Integration Aide is allocated. For a Level 1 funded student, an Aide is allocated 3 periods out of 30 to assist the student. This support may be provided in the classroom or the student may be withdrawn for individual assistance.
Traditionally students are assisted in ‘core’ subjects such as English, Maths, Science and Humanities.
Parents are also supported through the Student Support Group meetings (SSG’s). The aim of these meetings are to discuss the student’s progress and develop short and long term goals.
